NEW PLAY IN DEVELOPMENT
“There was an old woman who lived in a Shoe. She has so many children…” Come be part of the process and be some of the first audiences anywhere to experience Marisela Treviño Orta's (The River Bride, Wolf at the Door) new play about sacrifice, familial struggles, and longing for independence.
Marta, has felt trapped in her family's double-wide in Texas since her father left 16 years ago. After sacrificing her own future to care for her mother and sibling, Marta finds solace in a clandestine online romance, igniting her dormant dreams of a world elsewhere. As Marta yearns for a life beyond her confines, her siblings also plot their own routes to freedom. Yet, breaking away from their past comes at a cost, and it may just mean leaving Marta behind. Come be part of the process and be some of the first audiences anywhere to experience Shoe, a new play by award-winning playwright Marisela Treviño Orta (author of The River Bride & Wolf at the Door).

Those that purchase a ticket for Sunday, SEP 22 at 7PM have the option to join us in person or virtually for a live simulcast stream of the performance of SHOE from the Severson Theatre. Meeting ID and Passcode for private Zoom link will be provided in your eTicket to patrons who have purchase tickets prior to the event date.
Availability for online purchase closes at 5:30PM on SEP 22. If after that time tickets can still be purchased by calling the Box Office at (805) 922-8313.
