Michael has designed extensively on the west coast & across the country. Favorite designs include Women of Will (Bedlam, NYC), The Language Archive and Time Stands Still (TheatreWorks Silicon Valley), Waitress, The Play That Goes Wrong, A Behanding in Spokane, and The Aliens (San Francisco Playhouse), Il Trovatore (Opera San José), Marjorie Prime (Marin Theatre Company), Gidion’s Knott (Aurora Theatre Company), The Great Leap, Chicago, The Rocky Horror Show, Sweeney Todd, and the premieres of Adios Mama Carlota and Valley of the Heart by Luis Valdez (San Jose Stage Company), the premiere of Beardo (Shotgun Players), and Fun Home, Once, Scrooge in Love!, and A Little Night Music, (42nd Street Moon). His producing company, NextStage Productions (formerly Carollo & Palumbo LLC) has credits including A Wonderful World and A Time to Kill on Broadway, and bare: the musical Off-Broadway. He has taught theatrical design for Santa Clara University, Susquehanna University, and Siena College. Michael earned his MFA in lighting design from New York University, Tisch School of the Arts.
