Bert(looks to be 8 to 10 years old) Bert is a boy who lives in the neighborhood; he frequently visits the Keller’s' yard to play "jail" with Mr. Keller. He only appears twice in the play. The first time he appears, his part seems pretty unimportant, but the second time he appears his character gets more important as he sparks a verbal attack from mother when mentioning "jail," which highlights Mr. Keller’s secret.

Now in its 48th season, PCPA Theaterfest is the Central Coast's Resident Professional Theatre Company, and has infused the national theatre scene with thousands of trained actors and theatrical technicians over the years in its conservatory.

The Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts (PCPA) of Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria, California supports a unique, fully-accredited vocational training program for aspiring actors and theatre technicians. PCPA is the only training program of its kind offered by a community college in the United States.
