Show your love for PCPA!

Many years ago, I was a student in PCPA’s Acting Conservatory. The support you and people like you gave to PCPA allowed me to have a scholarship during my time training with the company. The money donated to PCPA helped me not only realize my dream of becoming a professional actor working on Broadway, but your generosity helped me become the person I am today. For that, I am incredibly grateful.
PCPA challenges me to grow as an actor by giving me the opportunity to play incredible roles like Tevye, Javert, Shrek, and Sir Toby Belch. PCPA gave me the incredible opportunity to direct Disney’s Freaky Friday, and most importantly, they gave me the gift of allowing me to give back as a teacher in the very Conservatory that trained me.

PCPA gives so much to the students and to the community.

• Through student matinees, summer camps, and our in-school educational projects, over 20,000 children experienced the magic of live theatre here on the Central Coast.

• Nationally acclaimed actor Derrick Lee Weeden and director Tim Bond joined us in Santa Maria for our production of Fences. Mr. Weeden and Mr. Bond participated in local school workshops, post-show discussions after student matinees, and master classes with the PCPA students.

• The West Coast Premiere of Newsies the Musical had the audience leaping to its feet, while Matthew Lopez’s intense The Whipping Man brought us to Civil War-torn Richmond, Virginia and the complex themes of race, history, religion, and family. The California premiere of Brad Carroll’s Lend Me a Tenor The Musical was a smashing success and August Wilson’s masterpiece, Fences, created gripping family drama.

This is why I am asking you to consider a gift to PCPA so that we can continue to do the work you have come to expect. Your year-end support will directly impact the lives of our painters, designers, actors, carpenters, electricians, costumers, and a multitude of other highly skilled artisans who strive to inspire us and create the magic we know as PCPA.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful holiday season!
