Clips from PCPA's Outreach Tour - The Circuit

This inspiring true story follows the journey of a young boy, son of a migrant family, through the California crop "circuit" - Guadalupe to Fresno, Santa Maria to Bakersfield - in which he grew up. Moving from one labor camp to the next, young "Panchito" and his family define their lives with faith, hope, and determination to attain "The American Dream." Based on the first book in the popular trilogy of autobiographical short stories by former Santa Maria resident Francisco Jiménez, this theatrical adaptation explores the experience of migrant field workers, language barriers, and themes of acceptance and individuality.

The PCPA Outreach Tour brings the experience of professional live theatre to schools, providing exciting, imaginative performances especially suited for grades K-8. The Circuit (approx. 40 minutes) includes a post-performance question-and-answer session and a study guide that is available via PCPA web site.

The Circuit run time is approximately 40-45 mins.
